BIOGRAPHY
Robbert (1982) started exploring music at a very young age, being able to sing before he could speak. From the age of five he was hooked on the piano provided at home, and from the age of seven he was able to have piano lessons. At the age of twelve he got the opportunity to have lessons on a melodic instrument as well and the choice for the trumpet was made fairly quick.
At the age of seventeen he was admitted at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, department pop and jazz, for both instruments. After a successful propaedeutic year he decided to continue with trumpet only and focus on arranging for large ensembles. In 2006 Robbert graduated for jazz trumpet (Masters degree) and Arranging (Bachelor degree) at the same school.
